Back in Bangkok

Arrived back in Bangkok last night. Had a really good flight (again) with Air Asia - had an entire row to myself so lay down and slept for the flight. Always a good way of making the journey go quickly as I get so bored on planes!

Took a taxi back to the hotel (they're now welcoming me as a "regular guest" hehe!) and amidst all the craziness, met up with Jez! Was really good to see a friendly face - well, to clarify, a friendly face that is actually your friend and not the friendly face of someone who wants you to give them the contents of your wallet!

We had some drinks (Singha beer, of course) in a bar and by the time we'd had a couple we were both knackered and turned in for the night.

Met Muk this morning which was also very weird! But all good The rest of today was spent hunting around the Siam Square Paragon and MBK shopping centres for a replacement camera for me, a Nintendo DS lite for Muk, and some speakers for Jez. I was the only one who had any luck - managed to pick up a Nikon Coolpix P1 for 10,800 baht (165 quid!) - an absolute bargain for such a good camera. Took a lot of bargaining to get it that low - managed to get a few others down to 11,000 but then they tried selling me all the leads as extras so it was time to walk! But got what I wanted in the end so will now be able to take pictures again
